Mountaineering has become one of the most popular leisure for people in recent years, but there are several accidents happened during the activities. We could handle the climbers status immediately by using wireless sensor networks (WSN) that will be decrease the risk to save more victims. WSN operation is composed of multi sensor nodes which collect the data for uploaded to base station. It’s hardly to replace or be charge for battery on sensor nodes which were being located on the mountain that reduced the power consumption become very important issue. To improve the efficiency of transmitting data for enlarged the lifetime of sensor nodes is the most important research on Wireless Sensor Network. In this paper, we proposed a novel protocol of transmitting data for extended the cycle time. There are many solutions about wireless sensor network protocol with cluster structure. In traditional ways, the numbering of cluster heads will not be the same at each round. In the other words, the more extra cluster heads being produced the more energy dissipation it caused. Therefore, Group protocol has been proposed to solve this issue whose base stations were being located out of the detect region due to the topography of mountain factor. As our experiment, we utilized Power level to define the energy consumption that depend on the scale of Power level during transmitting data. In simulation results, the sensor nodes could get more lifetime when the base stations were under the sense region for both homogeneous nodes and heterogeneous nodes. It is more energy efficiency than using cluster head transmit data when the sensor nodes transmit data to base station directly as a result of the number of sensor nodes only a few. Finally, We measured the model of Octopus EX-I transmitting data times which were 26589 times by using two triple A size battery. That means, the system could support to supervise the mountain three times per hour for one year.
