"Urban Reengineering of Communitarianism" is a social design which includes society and industrial reengineering issues through organizing general "community" groups, trying to build up a “grassroots” urban regeneration method. From 2013 to 2017, the action by "community" were springing up all over Taiwan, such as social movement, sharing economy, urban regeneration, and so on. Each organization has established the sharing resource and tried to “hack” the urban issue and create a "communitarianism" landscape in the local place. As social media advances, each idea and activity on the platform could could not only pays close attention to "echo chamber", but maintains the community group to engage the event immediately. In this way, the definition of “community” in the contemporary city has become the networks of relationship by the Internet group on the platform. "Community" as a brand could realizes a substantial influence by the community group, whether a discussion above the line (ATL) or an action below the line (BTL). This research is based on the study of the community action in Taichung Central District (the downtown area in the mid of Taiwan), attempting to build up a “grassroots” urban regeneration method from different perspectives which include “Observer”, “Agency”, “Cooperative”.
