Investigation of Mechanical Properties and Microstructures of Cladding Compositions on SCM415.

In this study, the surface of SCM415 was coated with tungsten inert gas arc welding, in which Mo is the main powder of the coating layer, AlN is the secondary powder, and a certain proportion of Si, W, Co, Cu, Zn, V, SiO2 and Al2O3 were used as modification powders. After controlling the material properties through basic experiments, four sets of functional orientation experiments were investigated, which were followed by high wear resistance, high heat dissipation performance, high hardness and functional balance group. The experimental results showed that the mechanical properties were all improved. Compared with the basis, the hardness value of the specimen HH is increased by up to 41%, the volume loss of wear of HWR is reduced by 6 times. The result also indicated that the highest temperature of specimen HTC during contact wear is only 87 ˚C, which is 48% lower than the basis. After one minute of cooling the specimen HTC has a minimum temperature of 56 ˚C, compared to the lowest temperature of the basis by 18%. The hardness of the specimen COM are 40% higher than the basis, the volume loss of wear is reduced by 3.9 times, the temperature rise inhibit is improved by 29%, and the heat dissipation effect is increased by 13% to achieve the anticipated performance.
