Students gain more experience when they participate in Service-Learning in School, which increase their motivation and effectiveness in the future. This dissertation investigates the result and student participation of Service-Learning in general and vocational high schools in Taoyuan City. The questionnaire of this research is classified into different capacities and types of school by using proportional sampling. Overall, a total of 580 questionnaires were distributed, and 537 valid questionnaires were returned, resulting in a return rate of 92.5 %. This research including several methods of data analysis, such as Descriptive Statistics, Independent Sample t Test, One-way Analysis of Variance, and Pearson Correlation methods. One of the result shows female-student is better than male-student in Service-Learning, female participation rate is higher than male. The result also shows the performance of second-year students is more passive in Service-Learning than first- and third-year students due to lack of discipline during the participation with passive attitude. The content between general high school and vocational high school is different, however, the results of Service-Learning performance and the effectiveness are similar, which mean Service-Learning and Learning Effectiveness could not be affected by school-types or school characteristic. One of the results shows a positive correlation between Service-Learning and Learning Effectiveness of student. The learning performance of Service-Learning is highly related with teacher and leader. The improvement of learning attitude, problem solving skill, and time management can be reached if the Service-Learning activity is arranged regarding clear learning target, proper planning with discussion of feedback. The result of correlation is r = 0.878, each of Service-Learning factors and Learning Effectiveness factors are between 0.734 and 0.847, which mean the correlation of factors of Service-Learning and Learning Effectiveness are above medium correlation. Therefore, it is more convincing to attract students for further collaboration in Service-Learning and increase their own belongingness from the lessons. Finally, from this valuable results, leaders could formulate policies related to Service-Learning, and teachers could design useful Service-Learning for students with reference.
