In this study, a two-step process method was used to synthesize linear and cross-linked polyurethanes (LPU and CPU) by using isocyanate and poly(caprolactone) diol respectively as the hard and soft segments. The furanamines were respectively used as chain extenders, and finally reacted with bismaleimide via Diels-Alder (D-A) reaction to obtain the linear and crosslinked PU with D-A bonds (LPU-DA and CPU-DA). Moreover, PU without DA bonds (PU-DEG) was also synthesized for comparison. The cracks on the surface of the LPU-DA and CPU-DA film can be self-healed after the film was maintained at high temperature. In addition, the conductive composites were prepared by the blend of PUs and acidified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Good processing property, high thermal stability and moderate conductive property were obtained for the LPU-DA/CNT and CPU-DA/CNT composites.
