LCW fiber is a stable, low-cost polymer adsorbent prepared by using acrylic fiber as raw material. It has high adsorption efficiency for metals such as cadmium, bismuth, cobalt, copper, lead, mercury, nickel, palladium, ruthenium, osmium, uranium, vanadium and rare earth element in water samples.. In this study, the simulated wastewater samples containing cadmium and iron and the palladium-containing effluent from the printed circuit board factory were tested. The factors discussed were the dosage of fiber, pH of solution and adsorption times. After adsorption, the concentration of metals was detected by ICP-MS. The results show that the use of parallel LCW fibers at neutral pH can reduce the concentration of Cd in simulated wastewater samples below the detection limit within 5 minutes, and far below the regulations. Palladium has a very high economic value, often used in the PCB and the catalytic converter, the palladium-containing effluent of high concentration ( > 50 mg/L) can be reused by recycling after the processing industry. Although the washing wastewater contains low palladium concentration
