  • Claim: 1. A surgery-assistance device comprising: means for offsetting a rotation of a first type and a rotation of a second type; a mechanism for transmitting a rotation of a third type; and a mechanism for transforming the rotation of the third type into a translation, said translation being enabled along an insertion axis oriented in a direction defined by the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type, the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type being connected to a first end of an elastic element, the second end of the elastic element being connected to the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type, the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type being connected to a rotary motor, the rotation of the rotary motor in a first direction causing the lowering of a tool carried by the surgery-assistance device and a first deformation of the elastic element, the rotation of the rotary motor in a second direction causing the raising of the tool and a second deformation of the elastic element opposite to the first deformation, the tool remaining in a given position as long as a torque exerted by the rotary motor is maintained and, when the tool is in a lowered position and the rotary motor is not exerting any torque, the elastic element returns to an initial shape causing the raising of the tool, and in that the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type comprise two parallelograms connected together and a device for actuating the rotation of the third type and the rotation of the second type, the actuation device generating a rotation movement of the first type, about a first axis, of a rod of a parallelogram with respect to another rod of said parallelogram, and generating a rotation movement of the second type, about a second axis, of the two parallelograms with respect to a base of the surgery-assistance device, the first axis being perpendicular to the second axis, and the rotation movements of the first type and of the second type being transmitted by the two parallelograms at an offset centre of rotation.
  • Claim: 2. The device according to claim 1, wherein the first deformation is an elongation.
  • Claim: 3. The device according to claim 1, wherein the actuation device comprises two other rotary motors, each of the rotations of a first and second type being actuated by one of the other two rotary motors.
  • Claim: 4. The device according to claim 1, wherein the actuation device comprises two linear motors, the rotations of a first and second type being actuated by the conjoint action of the two linear motors.
  • Claim: 5. The device according to claim 1, wherein the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type comprises the third parallelogram, the rotary motor generating a rotation movement of the third type, about the third axis, of a first rotary element with respect to the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type, the rotation movement of the third type being transmitted by the third parallelogram to a second rotary element, about a fourth axis parallel to the third axis.
  • Claim: 6. The device according to claim 3, wherein the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type comprises a belt, the rotary motor generating a rotation movement of the third type, about the third axis, of a first rotary element with respect to the means for offsetting the rotation of a third type and the rotation of the second type, the rotation movement of the third type being transmitted by the belt to a second rotary element, about a fourth axis parallel to the third axis.
  • Claim: 7. The device according to claim 1, wherein the mechanism for transforming the rotation of the third type into a translation comprises a connecting rod, the head of the connecting rod being connected to the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type and the foot of the connecting rod is connected to the tool and to the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type, and, when the rotation movement of the third type is transmitted to the head of the connecting rod, the foot of the connecting rod transmits to the tool a translation movement along the insertion axis.
  • Claim: 8. The device according to claim 1, wherein the mechanism for transforming the rotation of the third type into a translation comprises a toothed wheel connected to the mechanism for transmitting the rotation of the third type and comprises a rack secured to a tool holder to which the tool is connected, the toothed wheel being connected to the rack by gearing so that, when the toothed wheel begins to move in the rotation of the third type, the tool makes a translation movement along the insertion axis.
  • Claim: 9. The device according to claim 1, wherein the means for offsetting the rotation of the first type and the rotation of the second type are connected to a movable base, the movable base being able to be moved and secured to an operating table in accordance with three translation axes perpendicular to each other.
  • Claim: 10. The device according to claim 1, furthermore comprising a mechanism for rotating the tool about the insertion axis.
  • Claim: 11. The device according to claim 1, wherein the tool is an endoscope for assisting ear and sinus surgery.
  • Claim: 12. The device according to claim 1, furthermore comprising a control means actuated by an individual and cancelling out the torque exerted by the rotary motor so that, if the tool is in a lowered position, the elastic element returns to the initial shape causing the raising of the tool.
