The LCT-Nordic network will broadcast 4 hours of our two-day event, including two sessions for international participation. One session will focus on condensation and student teachers’ knowledge practices. First, we present a translation device for analyzing condensation of pedagogical meaning and complexity in teacher student’s conversations and writings on teaching. This lays the foundation for the following panel discussion on the potential usefulness of the translation device – both as a research tool and as a practical tool in teacher education. The panel discussion will of course be open to participants online as well. The second session focuses on semantic gravity. We will present data and studies exploring the role of semantic waves in bringing together different theoretical concepts, semantic waves in different types of teaching sequences, and how semantic gravity illuminates the understanding of theoretical concepts in writing. These presentations are concluded by a panel discussion which is open to participants online as well.
