How humans move, and what enable one to move more efficiently and effectively than another, are being studied. Researchers are using the knowledge and skills of the photographer, electronics and computer specialist, mathematician, physical educator, physical therapist, and biomechanics specialist. A computerized film-analysis system has been developed (described), and the kinematic data are converted into kinetic data via a digitizer connection to a minicomputer. The computerized graphic-table system (cgts), discussed, provides permanent data that can be stored easily and retrieved when needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
