The article discusses the sexual misconduct policy at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, including for behaviors such as rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. The Yale Women Faculty Forum (WFF), a group promoting scholarship on gender and advocating for gender equity, and its Working Group on Sexual Misconduct, filed the 2009 report entitled "Report of the Yale University Women Faculty Forum Council on Sexual Misconduct at Yale," also known as the "WFF Report." As a result, Yale has implemented the University-Wide Committee on Sexual Misconduct (UWC) and updated its policy, effective starting on July 1, 2011, to include a detailed definition of sexual consent, the ability for students to file cases against staff members, and a 60 day time limit for the adjudication process.
