This article focuses on computer war games (CWG) training in Russia. Now that the Russian military is cash-strapped and can afford only a limited number of field training exercises, computer war games (CWG) are of special importance for operational training of Command & Control (C&G) agencies and elements because they make it possible to upgrade career-area skills of officers and rehearse modern C&C methods. To achive the main objective of CWG-- to train C&C authorized personnel of missile forces and artillery and pinpoint their errors--calls for careful preparations of CWG, designing appropriate methods of estimating the performance of C&C agencies and individual members of the authorized personnel who undergo training.
